The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration,
a member of the Diocese of Chicago, wants you to know that whoever you are and wherever you are on the journey of faith, we welcome you. We know that there is a place in God’s heart for every person in the world, without exception!
This parish is a lively and active community, ready for both celebrations and service. We rejoice together in fun and festivities and share in lightening the burdens of difficult times. Thus we share the light of Christ with one another and with the whole world.
Taste and see the goodness of the Lord with us!

Transfiguration is a warm and welcoming Episcopal parish eager to spread the good news of God’s love. We are rooted in the liturgy but inclusive, joyful, and fun-loving. Our Anglican heritage takes the middle way between Catholic and Protestant liturgy and theology. The Church of the Transfiguration, and the Episcopal Church as a whole, welcome all people and invite them to ponder their faith with the God-given gift of human reason. We know that unity in Christ does not require each of us to become a cookie-cutter copy of others. On the contrary, we see our diversities as strengths and a gift from God.
